Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026 · Last updated: October 8, 2026
We built Ethics Security around trust, and that starts with how we treat your information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through this Site, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
This website, ethicssecurity.com (the “Site”), is operated by Ethics Security LLC, a Georgia limited liability company based in the Atlanta area (“Ethics Security,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us about privacy at info@ethicssecurity.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect what you choose to share, which may include your name, email address, organization, phone number, the type of inquiry, event details (event name, date, format, location, and audience) for speaking requests, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We use this only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
What we don’t collect
The Site does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not sell or buy personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not include it in messages.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, including speaking and event requests, media requests, book orders, and podcast interest.
- To coordinate community conversations, gatherings, and events you ask to participate in.
- To send you updates you specifically request (for example, podcast launch notifications). You can opt out at any time.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Site, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We will not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run the Site and respond to you:
- Form delivery: our contact form is processed by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which receives your submission and forwards it to our email inbox.
- Email and hosting providers that store and deliver our communications and serve the Site.
- Event partners: if you request a speaking engagement or gathering, we may share relevant details with co-organizers only as needed to plan it, and only with your knowledge.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Ethics Security, our community, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Third-party services and links
The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when fonts are requested. The Site also links to third-party sites, including Amazon (to purchase our books) and LinkedIn. Purchases of our books are handled entirely by Amazon; we do not receive your payment information. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
6. Data retention
We keep inquiry messages only as long as needed to respond, maintain a record of our communications, plan events, or meet legal obligations — generally no longer than 24 months after our last interaction, unless an ongoing relationship requires otherwise.
7. How we protect information
Security is our profession, and we apply it to ourselves. The Site is served over HTTPS, access to submissions is limited to the founders, and we collect only what we need. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@ethicssecurity.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, or other U.S. states with privacy laws, or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect, to data portability, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in that regard.
9. Children’s privacy
Although one of our books, Zara’s Cyber Sense, is written for young readers, this Site is intended for adults (parents, educators, and professionals). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact info@ethicssecurity.com and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our community programs, podcast, or Site evolve. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
